Backstabbing-two-faced WHAT?

In this scene from season 3 of One Tree Hill, the communication model fails. The message was not understood by the "receiver" (Brooke) in the way which it was intended by the "sender" (Peyton.) Peyton thought that she was being a good friend by telling Brooke that she still had feelings for Lucas (her ex boyfriend, and Brooke's current boyfriend.) She didn't mean anything by it, she just wanted to clear the air and get her feelings out so she didn't end up hurting her best friend. However, Brooke did not see it that way. She felt as though her relationship was being attacked and compromised by Peyton's newly expressed "feelings." She then proceeded to call her best friend backstabbing and two faced while stomping around Peyton's room, gathering her belongings, and leaving. This scenario is entirely too common in the lives of teenage girls. The communication model fails due to rash accusations and no willingness to comprehend the sender's true intentions.
