I feel that this scene of One Tree Hill in season 6 represents the communication model. Peyton (the sender) is telling Brooke (the receiver) about her wedding date that she has recently set, but Brooke is giving off negative feedback by her reaction of the news. She doesn’t get excited, or happy for her, but she does show that she has decoded the message from Peyton by continuing conversation with her. Although she does not show positive feedback in her facial expressions, Brooke does state that she is happy for Peyton, but it is hard to believe it when she is not showing any emotion that coincides with her words. Brooke gives off undesirable signs when she is communicating with Peyton, so Peyton knows that something is wrong with Brooke by decoding her feedback. I feel that this is a good example of the model because it shows different ways that you can encode and decode messages and feedback. It also shows how feedback can be used to help.
